MTB Enduro & Downhill Expeditions Across the Andes

Guided MTB expeditions through Ecuador's diverse mountain terrain, designed for experienced riders seeking technical descents, efficient logistics and refined accommodations.

Our ground rules

We are not a tour company that happens to ride bikes. We are riders who happen to run expeditions.

Gravity Lines started the way most good lines do — with locals who already knew where the dirt went. We grew up reading these mountains: which volcanic faces hold traction after rain, which cattle paths drop for twenty unbroken minutes, which valleys turn fast and dusty the moment the páramo turns cold. That knowledge isn't printed on a map. It is the whole product.

Everything we build works backward from the descent. The shuttles, the bases, the pacing, the acclimatization days — none of it exists to pad an itinerary. It is there so that when you drop in, you have the legs, the line and the conditions to ride it properly. Your job is to ride. Ours is to make sure nothing else gets in the way.

We keep groups small and honest. We'd rather tell you a region isn't reading well today and move you to one that is, than push you down a line gone to mud for the sake of a schedule. The mountains decide; we adapt. That isn't a limitation — it's the reason the riding stays this good.

Anyone can sell you a week in Ecuador. We hand you the mountain the way the people who live here ride it.

Why Gravity Lines

Why we're different

Short, clear and built around the riding — not generic tourism.

Geography
01

Geography

Ecuador's compact geography lets riders experience multiple ecosystems — páramo, cloud forest, dry Andean terrain and subtropical zones — within a single expedition, while keeping logistics efficient and the flow smooth throughout the journey.

Execution
02

Execution

Well-paced itineraries balance demanding riding days with recovery, acclimatization and meaningful time off the bike — maintaining a consistent rhythm across the whole expedition.

Local Connection
03

Local Connection

The experience extends beyond the trails through the landscapes, mountain towns, food and riding culture that define the Ecuadorian Andes.

Real mountains, not a bike park

The terrain

Real mountains, not a bike park

Volcanic rock, loose dirt, ancient cattle paths and open páramo — terrain shaped by weather and centuries of use, ridden by people who live here.

One country, every ecosystem

From páramo to subtropics in a single trip

Ecuador's compact geography lets one expedition move through radically different terrain — without losing days to transit.

High volcanic páramo
01

High volcanic páramo

Start above 4,000 m on exposed alpine terrain and volcanic sand, then drop into the long descents that define Andean gravity riding.

Cloud forest & subtropics
02

Cloud forest & subtropics

Plunge into humid green corridors where the air thickens, the dirt grips and the forest closes in tight around the trail.

Dry Andean valleys
03

Dry Andean valleys

Fast, dusty, expressive lines through arid valleys — the playful, flowy counterpoint to the high mountains.

Expeditions

Our expeditions

Ecuador is not a bike park. It's bigger, rougher, steeper and far less predictable. Gravity Lines was built to ride that side of the Andes.

Why Ecuador, really

A continent of terrain, packed into a single ride

Most riding destinations make you choose: high alpine or deep forest, fast and dry or steep and technical. Ecuador refuses to choose. Sitting on the equator and stacked vertically through the Andes, it folds five distinct ecosystems into distances you can actually link in a single day.

Drop from volcanic sand above 4,800 metres in the morning and you can be threading humid cloud forest by the afternoon — no days lost to transit, no repeated trailheads. It's the rare place where real terrain variety and tight, efficient logistics stop being a trade-off.
